S S Graphics has printed in Guwahati since 1997. The floor now runs offset for the long job and digital when the quantity is short.
Pre-press corrects colour, scans and rips, then a hard-copy proof is available on most products. Plates, or a digital file, go to the press only after that check. Folding, binding and large format follow on the same floor.
The machines are kept current, and the people who run them are trained on the work in front of them. Pre-press uses licensed software, so a file is less likely to fail for a reason that could have been avoided.
